1.01 How do I start playing poker?
Please begin by downloading the software from our web site where it says Click to Download. Once you have done so, you should have a Palm Tree icon on your desktop. Double-click the icon to launch the software. Once you have launched the software, the PokerJointlobby should appear with a list of tables and games. If you have any trouble at all during the download or launch process, please look through the Troubleshooting Guide for this section or contact us at support@pokerjoint.com for help. There is no cost whatsoever to download the software and participate in the games.
1.02 I downloaded the software. How do I find the games and start playing?
Once you have downloaded the Software, locate the PokerJoint icon (the palm tree on your desktop) and double-click on it to launch the software. This should bring up the PokerJoint lobby screen with the lists of different games and tables. To create your new account, please select the "Lobby" pull-down menu in the upper left corner of the Lobby screen. Click on "Log in...". The pop-up screen displayed will have a button to "Create New Account". Click on the button and provide the information requested to activate your account.
1.03 When I try to login to my PokerJoint account, it says 'Unable to Validate Password'. I am sure I am entering the correct password.
Please note that your account password is case-sensitive. You may not be entering your login information in the correct case. You may also have some other character in the password, such as an underscore or a dash. If you are not able to remember your password, please contact Support and your login information will be sent to the e-mail address that is registered on your PokerJointaccount.
1.04 Do I need to go to www.PokerJoint.com each time I want to play?
No, you just have to click on the PokerJoint palm tree icon on the desktop when you want to play and you will automatically connect to the game server so you can start playing. If you have the palm tree icon on your desktop, you already have the software downloaded on your computer.
1.05 When I try to make a purchase, I get a message that says I need to set up my account for real money. How do I do this?
To set up your account for real money play you must proceed to the Cashier screen. You will be required to provide more detailed address information and read and accept the New Account Agreement. You will also need to Validate your email address by following the instructions below:
- Go to our lobby and under the options menu click "change/validate email address"
- Input your new email address or existing email address and click "submit email address"
- We will automatically send your validation code to your NEW email address.
- Take the validation code and input the number in the validation code box and click "validate"
1.06 When I set up my account and try to validate my e-mail address I never receive a validation code. Can you send me a code?
Unfortunately, it appears that all of the Support e-mails sent from support@pokerjoint.com are being rejected by your e-mail server. While our game server may be able to send you automated e-mails, such as hand histories and transfer details, the e-mails sent to you by our Support Team are not being successfully delivered.
In order to address the problem, we ask that you please establish another web based e-mail account at either yahoo.com or hotmail.com and register this new e-mail address on your PokerJoint account. You can register your new e-mail address on your PokerJoint account by means of the "Change/Validate E-Mail Address" option, found under the Options menu in the Lobby area.
1.07 Why are you not responding to my questions when I e-mail Support?
PokerJoint Support typically responds to all email inquiries within 5 minutes.
If you find you are not receiving a timely response, it is likely that your ISP is blocking emails sent from support@pokerjoint.com. Please try registering an alternative email address on your PokerJointaccount.
